We all have different strengths, and your personality type will dictate how you like to communicate with people. Some people thrive in a face-to-face environment, whereas other specialise in written communication.
Play to your strengths, and get help with your weaker areas. That means that if you excel at communicating in person, then hit every networking event in town. If words are your thing, then write a regular blog, market by email, and send a regular newsletter.

Or you might lose the chance for a sale if you assume that everyone has purchased from you already. Knowing your list will allow you to create effective communication for customers at each step of the buying journey.
